As for the author, I feel that you can shape the character of the male protagonist to be a kind of polite scum, but he will not do things that make people feel greasy. As for the heroine and the scumbag, I think the heroine can be treated more calmly, and the scumbag can be treated more disgustingly, so that he can react. Otherwise, why would the heroine suddenly change her mind after leaving the scumbag? It's a bit hypocritical. If he really felt that the heroine was wronged, why didn't he think about it at the beginning? So the author can make his character worse.
