The novel tells from the perspective of young writer Sal that he, Dean and others took four road trips across the American continent. Sal and Dean indulge in jazz and sex, opening the door to experiencing life and its endless possibilities. They burn themselves and explore the world to their heart's content, pursuing the true meaning of life and the freedom of the soul. This book is an autobiographical novel by Kerouac. In 1951, Kerouac, who was nearly thirty years old, wrote this book in one breath on a scroll of more than thirty meters in just three weeks. After repeated rejections, "On the Road", which he revised six times, was finally officially published in 1957. Afterwards, the book became a sensation in the United States and became popular around the world, becoming a timeless literary classic. Kerouac was also regarded as the spiritual leader of the new generation, inspiring countless young people to follow his footsteps and find the true meaning of life.
