About This Novel
This manuscript is an important achievement of Professor Chen Sihe's recent research on modern literary history and comparative literature as well as contemporary literary criticism. It is divided into three volumes: The first volume contains the author's overview of the development of modern Chinese literary history research, theoretical categories, language issues, and empirical analysis of the "New Youth" camp differentiation issue. The second volume includes the author's wonderful comments on Guan Renshan's series of rural novels, Yan Geling's "Youth" and Jia Pingwa's "Yamamoto", as well as the analysis of four generations of writers since the new century. The third volume collects the author's research results on Chinese literature abroad from the perspective of comparative literature.
