About This Novel
This series of books was edited and compiled from the lecture series of the Imperial College Lecture Hall organized by the Capital Development Institute of Peking University. Its main purpose is to popularize the knowledge of Chinese studies and introduce traditional Chinese culture to national civil servants and ordinary people in society. This volume is "Wenyuan Yinghua", which introduces representative classic literary works and representative figures from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, in order to enable readers to understand the development of Chinese literature and further understand the artistic value and social significance of the works. There are two series in total. This is the second series with a total of 12 lectures. It includes literary classics and representative writers from the late Tang and Five Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty, including lyrics from the Five Dynasties, Song poetry and Song lyrics, Yuan dramas, Sanqu, Ming and Qing legends, novels, three-character beats, dramas, etc.
