Shen Qinghan: Record of the Setting Sun
About This Novel
It rained for three days. At the "Duanchou Tavern" at the east end of Qingshi Town, when the door hinge creaked, a man in black clothes came in. There was water dripping from the corner of his shirt, and he was holding a cracked jade plaque in his hand - the word "Tian Yan" was engraved on the jade, as if it had been traced with blood. The owner of the tavern, Shen Qinghan, had white fingers and kept wiping the glass. "Want a drink?" "I need to find someone." The man in black said in a hoarse voice, "Looking for the person who survived the 'Tianyan Pavilion Extermination' ten years ago." Shen Qinghan's cloth paused. The rain outside the window hit the bluestone floor, making a sound like a knife falling to the ground.
