Annoying Dutch Paintings
by Derek Wilson
About This Novel
In "The Last Case", Sherlock Holmes and his old enemy Professor Moriarty had a decisive battle at the Reichenbach Falls in Switzerland, and both fell into the waterfall. My friend's misfortune made me heartbroken and unable to run the clinic. I also became indifferent to my beloved wife Mary Morstan beside me, and I was in a daze all day long. As the saying goes, time heals psychological wounds. I began to record the detective experiences of Sherlock Holmes in my memory, but these memories were scattered, especially about his early life, which were indirect and unsystematic. By chance, I learned that one of the earliest cases handled by Holmes was about the theft of the Nativity by the famous Dutch painter Rembrandt.
