About This Novel
"Image History" is a Chinese collection sponsored by the Cultural History Research Office of the Institute of History, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. It is currently the only history collection in China that focuses on historical image materials. In 2017, it became a Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) source collection. This collection has four columns: written talks by famous writers, artifacts and images, archeology and documents, and research on Mazu culture and maritime history. It provides a new interpretation of the value and significance of the methodology of image history in art history, archaeology, and historical research from the perspectives of theoretical method discussion, artifact image research, character image sorting, epitaph document analysis, capital imperial tomb archeology, and Silk Road cultural research.
