About This Novel
"Republic of China Studies" is an academic special issue sponsored by the Research Center for the History of the Republic of China at Nanjing University, a key research base in the humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education. It mainly publishes research articles on relevant historical facts and theories about the Republic of China period (1912-1949). It is now a CSSCI source publication. The papers included in this volume (the 29th volume) mainly discuss various issues such as business management, farmers' resistance to taxes and donations, charity, marriage, internal relocation of universities, the Baojia system, the national militia ID card system, etc. The unique perspective and combination of history and theory have greatly enriched and refined the research on the history of the Republic of China.
