About This Novel

In order to further explore and sort out Sun Yat-sen's cultural resources, the Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department and the Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles hosted a large-scale interview event on Sun Yat-sen's century-old oral history. The event was officially launched in August 2012. Professor Hu Bo, Chairman of Zhongshan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Vice President of Zhongshan Sun Yat-sen Research Association, and his delegation went to Wuhan University and Central China Normal University successively and interviewed Professor Zhang Kaiyuan, a famous historian and former president of Central China Normal University, and Secretary of the Party Committee of Central China Normal University. Professor Ma Min, Professor Yan Changhong, Professor Zhu Ying, and Professor Luo Fuhui of Central China Normal University, Professor Feng Tianyu, Professor Xiao Zhizhi, and Professor Wu Jianjie of Wuhan University are eight famous scholars who have great influence in the field of research on Sun Yat-sen and the Revolution of 1911. The scholars reviewed their academic careers, academic directions, scholarship methods, and academic contributions in conducting research on Sun Yat-sen, and put forward many valuable suggestions on how Zhongshan City can carry out research on Sun Yat-sen and explore and utilize Sun Yat-sen's cultural resources. Later, it was edited by Hu Bo and compiled into a book.
