About This Novel

The main purpose of this book is to study the impact of ancient Chinese time culture system on East Asia and to explore the characteristics of time culture in East Asia. The book is composed of three parts: the first part "A brief discussion of the ancient time cultural system of East Asia", the middle part "East Asia in the cycle of four seasons" and the second part "East Asian time and space and East Asian folk customs". It conducts an overall study of time culture in East Asia. The author believes that the ancient Chinese time system is structured by a set of cultural concepts and is supported by the cosmic model constructed by the ancient Chinese. Therefore, cultural areas that share the ancient Chinese calendar are affected by the cosmic model constructed by the ancient Chinese. At the same time, they also share this complete set of cultural concepts, and therefore naturally share many common cultural characteristics.
