A masterpiece in the history of rigorous scholarship
After reading this book, I gained a lot. The cultural self-confidence is clearer. The governance, economy, openness, science and government administration of the Song Dynasty of the motherland are superior to the West in many aspects; the concept of history is more complete. History is neither white or black, black or white as taught in middle school books in the past, nor the superstitious ignorance of the legendary feudal society, but the coexistence of the advancement of the times and darkness and backwardness... This book is introduced from the shallower to the deeper, starting from the most basic and going to the deepest direction one by one. It can be said in layman's terms that after reading this book, you may not necessarily know everything about the Southern Song Dynasty, but it is still very understandable.
