It consists of four chapters: "Khitan Destroys Jin", "Three Rebel Companies", "Guo Wei Usurps the Han" and "Shizong's Conquest of Huainan". It mainly records the history of the Khitan's destruction of Jin in the late Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, the establishment of the Later Han Dynasty, the subsequent Zhou Dynasty and the Later Han Dynasty, and the beginning of the Northern Expedition and the Southern Expedition.
