The original manuscript of this book is Mr. Lao Gan's lecture notes on the history of the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties at National Taiwan University. After being compiled by the author, it was published in Taiwan in the 1950s. It provides a brief introduction to the historical overview of the Three Kingdoms, Two Jins, Southern and Northern Dynasties, as well as the economic issues, military system, literature and academic situation during the Southern and Northern Dynasties. In this compilation and publication, relevant papers by additional authors have also been collected, making the content more substantial.
