About This Novel

This book relatively systematically narrates the history of the development of Canadian civilization from ancient times to the present, showing the appearance of the ancient society of Canada's indigenous peoples, the rise and fall of New France, the first colony established by France in Canada, and the governance of the British North American colonial era. It discusses the development process of industrialization and urbanization after Canada established a dominion in 1867, especially after the completion of the industrial revolution in World War II and became one of the seven major cities in the world today. The experience and lessons of a large industrial power analyze Canada's path to building a wealthy and fair society and the foundation for Canada's multiculturalism. Finally, it analyzes the evolution of Canada's foreign relations, including Canada's role in the post-World War II world structure and its special role in maintaining world peace. It is a general history of Canada written by Chinese scholars that runs through the past and present, has a clear context, and is informative.

This is the first Canadian history book I have read, but the content of the book is more like a collection of information. The author does understand the history of Canada, but too many things are crammed into each chapter, which makes it seem cumbersome. If it is not for academic study and interest, this book is not the best choice!
