by Editor-in-chief Shen Qiunong
About This Novel
This book contains one hundred oral archives of Japanese military atrocities collected by the author. The interviewees were from all over urban and rural areas. Most of the oral contents are the personal experiences of the narrators, and a small part are recounted by elders. 2017 Marks the 80th anniversary of Japan's all-out war of aggression against China and the 80th anniversary of the Chinese nation's national war of resistance. These 100 oral archives are rich in historical materials, with distinct themes, simple writing styles, and vivid narratives. In addition to recording the huge losses of people's lives and property caused by the atrocities of the Japanese army, they also record the true situation of the Japanese army's implementation of enslavement education and the establishment of comfort stations. The publication of this book is intended to provide a regional case study for the history of China's Anti-Japanese War. It is not only an excavation of the atrocities committed by the Japanese invaders in Changshu, but also a vivid contemporary oral archive. Since most of the narrators are elderly people, they were not only witnesses of Japan's war of aggression against China, but also victims of the atrocities of the Japanese army. Interviews with them are of rescue value.
