The True Story of Ah Q
About This Novel
"The True Story of Ah Q" is the masterpiece of Lu Xun's novels and the only medium-sized novel written by Lu Xun in his life. It takes the countryside before and after the Revolution of 1911 as the background, creating a typical image of Ah Q, an immortal wandering farmhand. In addition to "The True Story of Ah Q", this book also selects 22 representative works of Lu Xun's novels, with exquisite illustrations.

Everyone must be familiar with the story of Ah Q. So in my personal opinion after reading it, it also summarizes the heart of the character Ah Q and what kind of person Ah Q is. Ah Q, he was a poor man with no money, no power, and even lost his surname, a tiny and weak existence. The author didn't even give him a name, just called him "A Q" by his code name. His life was miserable, and he made a living by working as a coolie. He had no knowledge or talent, and he was a naked image of a peasant under the social background of that time. He also wants to change his destiny and live a good life, especially since he is often bullied, but he is timid and cowardly and cannot compete face-to-face with the evil forces, so he always comforts himself with an imaginary victory. This "spiritual victory method" imagines that he has defeated others, thereby satisfying his desire to win.
