The advantages of this book are: rich historical references, fluent writing, time axis, and clear logic. Disadvantages of this book: The author tried to analyze the causes of World War I and World War II, but ignored key economic issues and only focused on politics, especially military and diplomatic aspects. Therefore, the author's analysis always felt weak and weak; second, the author focused on Europe and Asia. Even when writing about the Asian battlefield, he still focused on Britain and the United States, and the Chinese battlefield was completely forgotten; third, the author did not see clearly the nature of the great powers, and even did some beautification.
