"The Age of Faith" is the fourth volume of the "The Story of Civilization" series of "Utopia Classics Hall". The medieval era from AD 325 to 1300 saw the convergence and excitement of four different cultures: Byzantium, Islam, Judaism and Western Europe. Vast areas of the world continued to live under the banner and rule of faith, while Western Europe sailed into a remote sea of reason. People in the Middle Ages were first victims of barbarism, then became barbaric conquerors, and then became the creators of new civilizations. The end of the completely rich phase of its civilization in the Middle Ages was the basis of the Renaissance and the Reformation. The medieval legacy contains both good and evil. We have not recovered from the Dark Ages. In this sense, modernization is a coat worn on medievalism.
