About This Novel
The manuscript of this book is a collection of historical blog posts published by the author Fang Hao on Weibo (30% of which are unpublished content), which have been compiled and linked together with the times as a popular historical and interesting reading. The manuscript is planned to have three to four volumes. The first volume is the Wei and Jin chapters. Most of the articles begin with "Once upon a time there was a scholar." They do not tell who the characters are during the narration process. They tell the characters' lives in a humorous and witty writing style, and reveal the answer to the mystery at the end of the article. The reading process is both appreciation and a test of the reader's historical knowledge. It is currently divided into eight chapters, including "The Afterglow of the Empire's Setting Sun", "The Afterglow and Character of the Old Era", "Songs of the Romantic Young Master", "Sufferers in the Cracks of the Times", "Silent Cultivators", "Sighs Looking North to China", "Intoxicating Styles of the Wei and Jin Dynasties" and "Unknown People in Troubled Times", involving more than 50 historical figures.
