About This Novel

"Qunshu Zhiyao" is a masterpiece on political governance composed by the famous admonisher Wei Zheng and ministers Yu Shinan and Chu Suiliang in the early years of Zhenguan, who were ordered by Emperor Taizong Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty to extract the essence of self-cultivation, country governance, family order, and world peace from the historical materials of previous emperors' governance. The book starts from the Five Emperors and goes down to the Jin Dynasty. It is compiled from more than 14,000 ancient books and more than 89,000 volumes. The whole book has a total of more than 500,000 words. It can be said to be the "Sikuquanshu" of the Tang Dynasty.
