the Boy's Magical Horn" and German Romantic Poetry
About This Novel
This book uses Chinese folk songs and the history of Chinese poetry as reference to sort out German romantic poetry in the 19th century and illustrate the great significance of folk songs to the formation and development of national poetry. Starting from the German folk song collection "The Boy's Magic Horn", we conduct a multi-dimensional investigation of its formation and illustrate its historical, cultural and literary historical value. Then, the three poets Brentano, Eichendorff and Heine and their works are analyzed in detail to demonstrate the nurturing and nourishing role of folk songs in literati poetry. At the same time, it aims to transform the unconscious "pre-understanding" of Chinese culture into a conscious "dialogue", compare the "color differences" between similar and homogeneous poems, and try to explain the "poetic heart" that China and Germany share.
