by Ruan He
About This Novel
Kaede Maeda and Michiko Nakagawa of the National Institute of Psychiatry in Japan invented a scanner that can spy on dreams. This epoch-making invention is used to treat panic disorder, depression and other mental disorders. However, there are hackers who "hack" into machines and invade dreams in an attempt to control people's thoughts. Involved in the grudges of a wealthy family more than 20 years ago, Michiko transformed into a dream detective to carry out investigations. She traveled through dreams many times but found that she was also trapped in a dream. She thought she fell in love with a wealthy man, but found out that it was just a casual relationship, and the person she loved most was beside her but could not see it. Dreams are layered upon each other, and the atmosphere is strange and philosophical. The protagonist would rather live in a dream but has to accept the cruelty of reality. After overcoming many dangers, can she finally escape the pursuit of fate?
