For much of the past 100 years, the consensus in social science has been that human evolution stopped long ago. According to the new version, evolution stopped before humans began to expand out of Africa about 50,000 years ago. This means that human minds should be the same everywhere in the world, the so-called "uniformity of the human spirit." It would be great if this were true. Unfortunately, if evolution had stopped at that time, then the physique of humans around the world should be the same, but this is obviously not the case.
