About This Novel
The influence of cyberspace on the way literature exists is as follows: it reconstructs the subject of literary and artistic creation from aspects such as identity, psychology, and body (cybers, posthumans); it promotes the evolution of reader functions from aspects such as reading methods, aesthetic psychology, and experience methods; it reshapes text forms from aspects such as text type, text openness, spatialization, and temporality. Traditional narrative theory cannot adapt to the characteristics of digital media, so "interactive narrative" emerged in response to the trend. Micro-level analysis of works, taking hypertext, hypermedia literature, interactive drama and other literary types as examples, strives to outline a panoramic view of literary reconstruction.
