This book is based on the translation of the Russian archives compilation "Russia and Tibet - A Collection of Russian Archives (1900-1914)" (published in 2005) co-edited by Belov, Shaumyan and Sviatetskaya, and 19 items involving China, Tibet and Mongolia in the Badmayev archives compilation "Behind the Tsarist System". There are 32 Tibet-related archives included in the book "International Relations in the Era of Imperialism". All of them are included in the book, making this translation the most complete version of Russia's Tibet-related archives. It has important reference value for studying the history of Tibet and Mongolia during this period, the history of Russia's invasion of China, and even the competition between the British and Russian powers in China.
