The protagonist of the novel is a fourteen-year-old boy who loves ski jumping and is extremely talented. The father has high expectations for the boy's career prospects, while the mother hopes that her son will give up this dangerous sport. However, on an ordinary training day, dire signs began to appear in the boy's body. He discovered that he had a rare muscle disease that would eventually lead to paralysis. One more jump from the high platform could have caused serious injury and he was told to give up the sport immediately. As the disease worsened, the boy's family also fell into a crisis of disintegration: the father refused to face his son's pain, and the mother could not bear the mental blow and was admitted to the hospital. In the end, the boy decided to jump again. Knowing that it might bring fatal danger, he still accepted the last challenge without hesitation...
