The Adventures of Wu Sangui's Descendants
by Zhao Xing
About This Novel
As the saying goes, we were one family five hundred years ago. The Sun clan in Lu'an Town, Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province, and the Wu clan in Majiazhai, Shuiwei Town, Cengong County, Guizhou Province, have the same ancestor - Wu Sangui more than 300 years ago. His eleventh generation grandson, Wu Zhongguo, was born in 1901. He is two meters tall, has long eyebrows, a broad forehead, a straight nose, a square mouth, and extraordinary physical strength. There was no difference when he was a child. He often went to Lion Rock to play with his brother Wu Qingnian. They browsed the Gaoyou Wu family history passed down secretly by their fathers, anecdotes about ancestors such as Wu Sangui and Chen Yuanyuan, and secret folk recipes passed down from family to family. After the founding of the Republic of China, the Wu people in Majiazhai were convinced that the Han people would never lose their world to the Qing Dynasty again. Therefore, many people hung up portraits of Wu Sangui in the nave of their homes and placed them on memorial tablets with the words "Lotus throne of Duke Wu Xian" written on them. This is the same practice as the Wu clan in Lu'an Town, Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province, thousands of miles away.
