Before the Pub Closes
by Li Tang
About This Novel
On this sunny day, I walked out of my house and onto the asphalt road leading to the pub. I am always suddenly controlled by some thoughts. For example, just now, I was staying in the house and wanted to write something casually. As soon as I found a pen and paper, I suddenly felt that my throat was tight and my body was drying up quickly. I quickly walked to the kitchen refrigerator and opened the door. It was empty except for a few cucumbers and an expired ham sausage. But what I need is wine, a lot of wine, enough to water me and make me grow dazzling hop flowers. I didn't have time to change, so I started on the pilgrimage to the pub wearing my big pants and this wrinkled yellow beach casual shirt. The road was long and wide, lined with plants I didn't recognize.
