# DaoSearch > DaoSearch is a discovery catalogue of Chinese web novels from six sources: Qidian, Fanqie, JJWXC, Faloo, Qimao and Zongheng. It shows each book's title, author, synopsis, genre, tags and the source's own figures in English beside the original Chinese, with the sources' ranking boards and reader-made booklists. It hosts no chapters: every book links to the site that publishes it. Base URL: https://daosearch.io {source} is one of: qidian, fanqie, jjwxc, faloo, qimao, zongheng. ## Pages - /{source}/book/{id}: one book. {id} is the id in the source's own URL. - /{source}/library: a source's catalogue. Filters go in the query: genre, tag_in, status, author, title, sort, page. - /{source}/rankings: a source's ranking boards. ?rank_type= picks a board and ?channel= a genre or audience. - /{source}/booklists: reader-made lists. /{source}/booklists/{id}/{slug} is one list. - /{source}/tags: a source's tags with book counts. - /search?q=: finds a book by its English or Chinese title, or by its URL at a source. - /stats: counts per source. /blog: guides to the sources and their figures. /about, /changelog. ## Feeds and sitemaps - /feed.xml: site news. /blog/feed.xml: new articles. /{source}/feed.xml: books newly added from a source. - /sitemap.xml: every indexable page. ## API Do not scrape the pages for data: there is a JSON API for it. - Guide: https://daosearch.io/developers - OpenAPI 3.1 document, no key needed: https://daosearch.io/api/v1/openapi.json - Data access needs an API key, sent as "Authorization: Bearer ". A signed-in reader creates one at https://daosearch.io/me/account. There is no anonymous access and no demo key. - Start with GET https://daosearch.io/api/v1/sources, then /search?q= or /books/{source}/{id}. ## Notes - English text is machine translation. The Chinese beside it is the source of truth. - Titles, synopses and covers belong to their authors and the source sites.
